Double Blessings

There is nothing more to say other than these identical twin boys are nothing short of a miracle. At 6 days old, they are enjoying life in the comforts of their own home with mommy, daddy and BIG brother. Braxton and Barrette were born almost full term, needed NO intervention from the NICU and came home with their parents after just a short day and a half stay. God was watching over this family. The twins weighed in at exactly 5 pounds and 18 and 18.5 inches long. They are beautiful, they are happy, they are perfect. And I couldn't be happier for Keith, Kelly and Brody. And it is even more special because they are our good friends so we will be seeing more of these handsome boys in the future.

Baby Ryan is Here!

What more can I say, but OMG! This little boy is so beautiful. He was supposed to be a forth of July baby, however, he had other plans for his mommy and daddy and ended up coming 2 weeks early! Ryan Navid was welcomed into this world by his mommy Stacey and daddy Omid along with many other family members and friends. This shoot was one that I will hold close to my heart since Stacey is like family to me. Her big sis, Nicole and I have been friends since jr. high! It was a little strange to watch Stacey cradling her newborn baby when all I could think about was.....she's not old enough! Well I guess that's what happens when time flies. I had so much fun with them and they are two of the MOST laid back first time parents I have ever seen. Stacey and I had a laugh too when Ryan started fussing and I asked Omid if he needed me to get a bottle or a pacifier and he looked up and said "no, he likes it if I walk around with him, he'll get quiet in a minute". It was so cute to see this new daddy taking charge as if he had been doing it for years. I loved it. Most dads would have just handed the baby to mom, but not Omid. Thank you for letting me share in this experience with you. Ryan is so beautiful and you are WONDERFUL parents. By the way...I LOVE the name you picked. But I guess I'm a little bias since my baby has the same name. Great minds think alike. I love you.

Twins are in the Air!!!!

Being a mother to twin boys myself, I know what an exciting, special and exhausting experience it can be. So being able to share in the experience again with a wonderful friend is even more special. Keith and Kelly along with their 18 month old son Brody, are expecting 2 more boys at the end of the summer! And might I add that Kelly looks SO BEAUTIFUL. I can remember being 28 weeks and looking like a HUGE whale! She is still going about her daily routine, taking care of Brody and just doing wonderfully. The babies are growing and doing so great. I am so proud of you guys and am so thrilled that after so many struggles God has blessed you again, but doubly! I am here for you no matter what and can't wait to meet those boys. Congrats and enjoy the last few weeks of somewhat sanity! I love you all. Thank you for letting me capture these precious moments.

Tonight I had the pleasure of spending it with the "C" family. They live out in Camanche Lake Village in a gorgeous home with a beautiful backyard. Their two children Isabella, 5 and Dylan, who is turning 1 on Sunday, were the cutest and most fun children I have photographed to date! Isabella even made me a special piece of art to take home. This family was so gracious and wonderful and we even joked at the fact that mom is always behind the camera and never in front of it. So here is a small sneak peek and one that includes you too mom! Enjoy.

Baby Rowdy

Yes, he's finally here. Rowdy James arrived on April 8, 2009 weighing in at 6lbs 7oz. He is gorgeous, he is all boy and he is the happiest little man I have ever been around. He NEVER cried the whole time we were moving him, undressing him and fussing with him. He just was there for the ride. Big sissy Georgia Rae was such a doll and she loved reading to him and being my little helper too. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek. I love you all and can't wait to watch him grow.

The "R" Family

Lately I have been fortunate to photograph some very special families to me. And today was no different. The "R" family which consists of 5 generations, and one of the best friends I could ever ask for. This family hasn't had photos done since their middle child Dylan was 8 months old! And with the birth of their daughter they decided it was time. We spent a few hours out at the families ranch and found some of the prettiest places and some sentimental places as well. The old Ford in one of these pictures used to belong to Joey's "pop", so it made it that much more meaningful. I had such a great time with them all and I hope that you all enjoy the pictures of your beautiful family. I love you all.

Storyboards Now Offered!!!!

I am in love with these new storyboards. I guess I am a bit bias since they are of my sweet little ones. However, these are so cool and can be done in a variety of sizes. I chose to do black and white, but they can be done in color as well, or a combination of both. Order one for your newborns room, a child's playroom or for yourself for Mother's Day!

My Boy Tyler

I couldn't help but post this here. My oldest son Tyler had his first sleep over with his best friend Dylan on Friday night. He spent all day on Saturday playing on the trampoline, playing dart gun wars, and building a new sign for their tree house fort! He was a dirty pig when he came home, but boy did he have fun. Today, Sunday, he was so exhausted he said all he wanted to do was "veg out" and watch movies. I snapped this one of him relaxing on his bed. He's so sweet.

A Special Moment for Me

This had to be the most meaningful shoot by far. Jaime, who has been one of my best friends for at least 10 years is expecting her second child, a boy, and I had the privilege of doing some pictures for her. I was at her side when she got married almost 7 years ago, at her side when she gave birth to her first born Georgia, and now I am getting to be apart of her little boys life too! I am so thrilled for them and she is just the most beautiful and most petite little pregnant woman I have ever seen. She is almost 38 weeks! And will probably deliver any day now. Good luck to Tim, Jaime and Georgia. I can't wait to meet Rowdy James. I love you all.

The "V" Family

I had the pleasure of spending my Saturday morning with an amazing family. It was such a beautiful day, blue skies, the sun was shinning and I got to travel up to Pine Grove to be with the "V" family. They have a 3 year old boy named Gabriel and twin girls Lucy and Claire who are 22 months. Yes, I said it...only 17 months apart. Can you even imagine? All of their kiddos have such sweet personalities and are all just adorable. We got to spend our time playing out in the wilderness they call their backyard. They have a gorgeous piece of property and we had such a great time. Mom (Kelsey) and Dad (Matt) are so laid back and just a joy to be around. The whole family just moved here from Arizona and I am hoping to see more of them. Thank you all for allowing me to spend my morning with you and for making me feel so welcomed. I hope you enjoy your sneek peek.

My little cuties

So I know it's been awhile since I have posted but I had to share a few from my own family. Being a mother and a photographer you quickly realize that those precious moments go by so fast. With a blink of an eye or the click of the shutter those moments vanish. So I decided that I would do a quick photo shoot for my own kids. They cooperated for a brief moment only because I told them they could have a cookie at the end. Hey, it worked and I think I will be bringing cookies along on my next shoot!

A Few More From Dacey Leigh

Here are a few more of my favorites from "little miss diva". I just love her so much.
